Os super-heróis das histórias em quadrinhos e sua relação com a ficção científica americana das décadas de 1930 e 1940

A ficção científica e as histórias em quadrinhos guardam semelhanças e podem inclusive se sobrepor: há ficção científica no formato de história em quadrinhos, mas nem toda história em quadrinhos é uma ficção científica (e vice-versa). A proposta deste artigo é analisar a trajetória de ambas, apontar
semelhanças e investigar como a ficção científica americana contribuiu para a criação dos super-heróis nas
décadas de 1930 e 1940, que continuam fazendo grande sucesso até hoje, oitenta anos depois. Para tanto, o artigo discute o mercado editorial à época, a criação das pulps e dos comic books e como diversos nomes ligados à ficção científica migraram para as histórias em quadrinhos, levando consigo ideias sobre o gênero. Por fim, o artigo traz também a intersecção inusitada de um grupo de fãs e escritores de ficção científica conhecidos como The Futurians com uma história do Batman
