Relação intercultural entre Israel e Brasil: a história de Tzipora Lewin Scheinman
Resumo
Neste trabalho, resgato a história do ramo materno de minha família, em grande parte baseado nas memórias de minha mãe, nascida na então Palestina em 1906. Esta história tem aspectos pouco comuns na imigração judaica para o Brasil, tendo em vista que meus avós maternos nasceram em Eretz Israel e lá se casaram em 1901. Junto com seus pais, minha mãe emigrou para o Brasil, em 1930, onde se casou com meu pai. Nascido na Rússia, havia fugido para Eretz Israel, por causa da ascensão do regime comunista, e de lá emigrou para o Brasil. O relato abrange a origem e a vida da família em Eretz Israel e sua instalação no Brasil, na cidade de São Paulo.
Intercultural relations between Israel and Brazil: a history of Tzipora Lewin Scheinman - Abstract: In this paper, I recover the history of the maternal branch of my family, largely based on my mother’s memories. She was born in historical Palestine in 1906. This history has unusual aspects in the Jewish immigration to Brazil, since my maternal grandparents were born in Eretz Israel, where they married in 1901. My mother emigrated to Brazil with her parents in 1930, where she married my father. Born in Russia, he had fled to Eretz Israel because of the rise of the Communist regime, and immigrated to Brazil from there. The account covers the family’s origin and life in Eretz Israel and its installation in Brazil, in the city of São Paulo.
